The Science Behind Cheater Eater and Acid Reflux Relief

Cheater Eater™ addresses the underlying factors that contribute to acid reflux and heartburn. Betaine hydrochloride (HCl) increases gastric acidity, which can enhance the digestion of proteins and trigger proper stomach emptying. Efficient gastric emptying reduces the likelihood of stomach contents refluxing back into the esophagus, a common cause of acid reflux symptoms.^(1^) Additionally, the digestive enzymes in Cheater Eater™, including proteases and lipases, facilitate the thorough breakdown of food, decreasing gastric retention time and reducing pressure on the lower esophageal sphincter (LES).^(2^) By promoting optimal digestion and stomach function, Cheater Eater™ may help alleviate the discomfort associated with acid reflux. Furthermore, supporting bile flow with ox bile extract aids in fat digestion, which can prevent fatty foods from delaying gastric emptying and exacerbating reflux symptoms.^(3^)
